I am Aurélien Goubau, born in 1996, and based between Brussels and Paris.
Following my time in the Russian Far North for my graduation project, Znamya, I wanted to understand and document ongoing events impacting Europe, particularly in Eastern Europe. This led me to various locations, including Poland for my project Granica, and more recently to Armenia, where I initiated a new project in January 2024.
My work was exhibited at Contretype in Brussels and at the Les Boutographies festival in Montpellier, as well as at Gallery VU' and the Prix Maison Blanche in Marseille.
I also took part at a mentoring program conducted by Agence VU' and the Fonds Regnier pour la création in 2023.
