CAUCASUS HARBOR
[2024 - ... ]
Borders have long shaped Armenia’s history—first with Russia, then with Turkey, and now with Azerbaijan. Conflict, and the constant cycles of repair and preparation it brings, has left its mark on society. The 2023 exodus from Nagorno-Karabakh highlighted the enduring tensions in the South Caucasus.
Peace talks in 2025 have raised hope. However, in such a volatile region nothing is certain. It is within this uncertainty that I set out to document both the repair of the past and the preparation for the future across Armenia’s hills and mountains. This is an ongoing series.
