[Armenia - april 2025]
Since the 2023 conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, tens of thousands of Armenians have been forced into exile. Many now live on the margins of Armenian society, struggling to rebuild their lives in unfamiliar places. In April 2025, I travelled to the town of Masis, where I met Karine Sahakian in her modest new flat. At the time, the Armenian government was attempting to cut vital aid to these displaced communities, adding another layer of struggle to an already fragile situation.
